Cafe Cristina (A Valentine Escape)

Valentine's Day. A day when we can see hearts in almost every place we go. They say, it is the time to let our loved ones feel how special they are for us.  But since I believe that it should be everyday and not just on a the 14th day of February, this day is not that big event for me though I always try to make my loved ones feel extra special whenever this day comes.

To make it a bit special, we decided to watch movie after work while everybody's having their dinner in those jam packed restaurants and fast food chains. To match it with the mood, we watched "The Vow." Of course, love story.

After watching movie (since we are still full because we already ate before we went in the movie house), we just walked around the mall where we saw a wall designed with cute hearts where we can't help but have pictures with it as our background.

The mall was so full that we thought of going somewhere calm and quiet, a place where we can escape the noise and just feel relaxed. Fortunately, as we passed by Marcos Highway, we found this perfect and almost-hidden place, the Cafe Cristina.

Who would have thought that behind a gas station is where a place like this will be located? Okay. It's just a simple and typical coffee house but what I love about this place is the calming ambiance that it gave us as we went there.

As mentioned, we're still full but because we can't stay there and order nothing, we just had the following:

Lechon Kawali

I tried their chocolate milkshake while he had their iced tea :)

As I said, we must let our loves feel our love for them everyday but for this day will never be complete without making our loved ones feel extra special. Flowers for me and chocolates for you, pogi! :)

Upon going home, I saw one thing that caught my attention and made me say to myself that we must come back: THE SWING. I really love swings which reminds me of being a child.

To end, we told ourselves that we will surely come back to taste other foods that this cafe is offering. And of course, for me to experience swinging on this blue swing. I know it will wait for me :))

So, the next time you pass by Marcos Highway, make sure to stop by and try eating here.
