3rd and 4th Philippine International Pyromusical Competition

I am a big fan of fireworks display. It was after high school when me and my high school classmates started watching the annual Marikina's Fireworks Display held at Marikina Riverpark every 30th of December which we considered our annual mini-reunion that made me fell in love with the colorful fireworks in the sky. Then, 2010 came and I learned about the First Philippine International Pyromusical Competition. Unfortunately, due to graduation requirements, I wasn't able to watch and it was just last 2011 when I decided to make it my yearly habit.

The Philippine International Pyromusical Competition is an annual event and competition of fireworks and music participated by different pyrotechnic experts around the world held at SM Mall of Asia Seaside Boulevard every Saturdays of February to March.

3rd Philippine International Pyromusical Competition

I was able to drag him to come with me to one of my yearly habit and watch the 3rd Philippine International Pyromusical Competition held last February 11, 2012 (First Week of Competition).

We got the VIP seats for P1,000 (P500 each). Each ticket allows you to watch two (2) competing countries. Ours are South Korea and Malta. You can also buy the VIP with buffet dinner for P1,500, Gold ticket for P300 and Silver for P100. Tickets can be bought either at ticketnet.com.ph, smtickets.com, ticketworld.com.ph, or even at the venue.

VIP seat offers free seating so you have to come early to grab the best location. We came around 5:00 p.m. and while waiting, we watched the beautiful sunset. Here are some sunset photos I took using a Nikon Digital Camera:

I also took a phtoto of the famous MOA Eye.

There were also some musicians to entertain people while the program hasn't started.

Meet Yohji. He's our baby teddy bear which he gave me on that same day. One cutie surprise! ♥ We also played with him while waiting for the competition to start.

One favorite photo of the night ♥

The competition started and yes, no words nor picture can describe the beauty of the fireworks display. One should really watch it to know what we are talking about here. But to give you an idea, here are some photos taken during the competition:

For me, it was South Korea that showed better synchronization of music to the fireworks display than Malta. But of course, applause for both countries' creativity.

And hey, thank you for the balloons, flowers and for Yohji ♥

4th Philippine International Pyromusical Competition

As expected, watching the Pyromusical Competition isn't just my yearly habit, but ours now. So this year, we got another VIP seats without dinner, of course. We don't think it's a good idea to eat while watching the fireworks display.

Same venue, same set-up :)

Trying to catch a photo with the fireworks background ♥

This year, it's United Kingdom versus South Korea. Here are some photos:

But here's my favorite of all. Isn't this soooo lovely? ♥

We saw these lights after the display. Now, we both love lights more :)

What's good about not purchasing the VIP with dinner is that you can choose where to eat. There are lots of good restaurants in SM Mall of Asia so why limit yourself with a small buffet?

We definitely recommend watching the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition. With the creativity of the people behind the competition, what you will be paying will all be worthy.

So, see you next year?

Biksa Coffee

Hooray for this two-day vacation! To those who are asking why, we, in Antipolo (and in Rizal) don't have work today because of "Araw ng Lalawigan" and as we all know, tomorrow's Independence Day. It feels like weekend again and I told myself to dedicate at least few hours of that long 48 hours to update my blogs that's why here I am, trying to make up with the past year's happenings.

I just read (and I don't know if it's true) that this place is already closed. If so or if not, I just want to share this so good place with awesome interiors. You will definitely be "WOW-ed" upon entering the place.

The lights

The curtains (Yes, it's almost Valentine's Day when we went there)

 Wall decors

Chairs and tables

And my favorite...
"THE" Couch. I really insisted to get to that couch for us. Sorry for my bag and phone. Hihi :))

These are what we ordered:

I forgot which sandwich is this (with chips on the side)

Carbonara (My default pasta order)

Chocolate Milkshake

The place, especially our place on the couch was so cozy. I guess people come to this place not just because of the food and coffee but also because of the place which is just so relaxing.

Our couch photos:

See? We really love it! :)

 Their Logo :)

The place is really perfect for relaxing while sipping a cup of coffee or just trying their in-house specialties. The ambiance is great and can make you feel at home.

Hainanese Delights

Since my date with friends was postponed on this lazy Sunday afternoon, I am grabbing this chance to update this so outdated blog of ours. This will be quick since I am also planning to take this chance of getting a short nap before I prepare for church later.

It was again, last year, when this restaurant came near our place. We're hearing about this but due to lack of time travelling far just to eat here, we are both glad upon seeing it at Robinsons Metro East. Finally, Hainanese Delights!

Though a bit small, we loved the clean-looking design of the place. Checking the menu, this are what we had:

 He had Hainanese Delights

I got Hainan Fried Chicken

Both are served with unlimited and famous Hainan Rice :)

 Classic Dumpling

All for Kutchay

And yes, I hope my chopsticks skills got better. Thanks for my forever patient tutor :)

What's good about Hainanese Delights is its affordability. No dish with price over P200.00. If you're planning to have a date this love season, this one will be a good choice :)

Bon AppeTEA

Hello, February! Time runs so fast and now, another (one of my favorite) month has come. Okay, forgive us for being busy and not updating this blog for a month and a day to be exact. Really, January has been a very tiring month. Without any excuses, here's another place that you can check and hang out with friends or with your loved one/s since February is also the so called "Love Month."

We discovered this new place which because of our love of Cafe Cristina. I remembered, I was so excited while it was still in construction phase and got more excited upon seeing colorful chairs and tables being delivered. July 14, 2012 when the store officially opened but we just came to check the place last December (busy schedule will be our forever excuse. haha!)

Now let us take a look inside:
Photos above courtesy of Bon AppeTEA :)
(The place was fully occupied when we went there that's why we don't have good photo/s of the place)

Bon AppeTEA serves the following kinds of tea and more.

I ordered Medium House Pearl Milk Tea while we ordered Large Peachsicle Milk Tea. They only have medium (16oz.) and large (22oz.) size by the way.

And this is what I love the most about the place...
The wall filled with sticky notes! :)

Upon seeing this, I did not think twice and asked one of the baristas where to find the materials needed. She handed me a set of sticky notes and said that pens are already provided on each table.
I love how we do the 'activity' with full cooperation ♥

And of course, how can I forget this:
mnmloveslife.blogspot.com ♥ will feature Bon AppeTEA =) Promise kept!

For the good milk tea and great place, thank you, Bon AppeTEA! :)

This February, let your loved one/s feel how much you love them with an extra effort if permitted. Treat her/him just like what we had when we went at Bon AppeTEA. It doesn't need to be extravagant as long as it is from the heart. But like what I'm always saying, it is not just this month that we let them feel we love them, it should be everyday and everytime we can.

Happy Love Month, everyone! ♥
